How Often Do You Work Out?

Simple question.

How often do you work out?

Now, go back over your diary for the last 4-5 weeks and actually count the sessions you’ve completed.

Bet ya the numbers are not the same.

I’m the same.
In my head, and on my schedule, I work out 5 times a week.

But most weeks something gets in the way. At the moment it’s holiday-interruptus. But even during term time: whether it’s extra work, something at school, or a doctor’s appointment … It’s very often that one session gets missed. Or even two!

That’s pretty typical .
And it is pretty typical of most mums, I know. So I’m not out to give you a hard time.

However…

Time for some frank talk.

If you’re working out once a week. Well, the reality is that it’s not enough. You won’t really be seeing much difference, I’m afraid.

If you’re managing twice a week. Great. You’ve got a routine going. But, again it’s not really enough. It might be just enough to curb any more weight gain. Or to maintain strength. But it’s not enough to make real changes.

But 3 times a week…
Well, THIS is where the magic starts to happen.

Ask any of my three-times a week guys at the group sessions.

  • Tracey lost 8lbs in 3 weeks, when working out 3 times a week.
  • Charlie is flaunting a super flat stomach – she’s got into a 3 x a week routine since the end of June.
  • And Anne can pick anything from her wardrobe and KNOW it will fit well and be comfortable.

So. Harsh truth. If you want changes, you need to carve out enough time for 3, proper, hard sessions.

As for me, if I’m ever going to get serious about athletics again, I need to get my 5 sessions in consistently.

So looks like we all got work to do!

Join our group training sessions.

We’re opening our doors in September to a new intake but there will only be 6 new places available and I know many mums who are interested. As you know we keep our classes small to give you a great session that works for you as an individual.

So if you wanna get in, get on it!
