Why we Self-Sabotage
Have you ever noticed that in our lives, we often end up sabotaging our own progress? Have you ever done something, and then thought “why on earth did I just do that”?

“I haven’t got time to…”
… cook healthy meals
… help out with the school
… exercise
… do my stretching
And so on
5 minutes later:
“Oooh did you watch Love Island”
No funnily enough. I don’t watch Love Island. In fact I don’t watch much TV. But I do manage to organise healthy meals, help out with the school, exercise intensely, occasionally do proper stretching, and run a pretty busy business.
This is one of the questions I get asked all the time. So here are my top tips on how to tone up your tummy…
We chat about lots of topics in our group training sessions. While still working hard, of course. Pensions, weight loss and long jump were just
The good, better, best continuum is something I mention quite a lot. So I decided it deserves a whole blog post to itself.
We should see all health and fitness choices (and possibly life too!) as lying on a continuum, with Poor choices on one end and Best Choices on the other end…

I’m so hard, I’ve run xxx. I’ve squatted xxx
I’m so sore, I did xxx

Unhelpful Cycles
So I’ve been a bit quiet of late… Like everyone else, I’ve been struggling with the challenges of homeschooling, lockdowns and endless cycle of bad news and anxiety. I’ve been thinking: I’ll get going again once kids are back in school. I’ll get going once the weather warms up a bit.
But it’s Friday and I still have no desire to do any “work”. So I’m writing down some thoughts instead.
