What we do

Melita Fitness is all about health and fitness for women in Guildford.  Our small group training sessions provide strength training through varied exercises and approaches. We train in Sutherland Memorial Park whatever the weather and our 45 minute workouts are designed to be efficient, motivational and enjoyable too.

Group training

Forget the intimidating bootcamp stereotypes. We offer an uplifting, women-only outdoor training experience where you can actually enjoy your workout. Because we intentionally keep our group sizes small, every session is adapted to your unique fitness level and goals—giving you the personal attention you need to see real, lasting progress.

Small groups

Join a small, focused group of 8 to 12 women for highly efficient 45-minute workouts. We mix up the exercises every time so you never get bored, with a heavy emphasis on developing total-body strength. And yes, spoiler: that absolutely includes a healthy dose of squats and lunges.

Strength

We prioritise strength training for a very simple reason: it protects our future. Natural muscle loss is just a part of aging, but building strength combats this head-on, giving us the capability to keep doing the things we love. We're putting in the work for today, but we're also building the foundation for a healthy, active life long into the future.

Small group training for women

We work hard. But we also have a great time and don’t take ourselves too seriously.

You will work out with a small group of women. A typical class has 8-12 participants. Sessions are 45 minutes long and vary so you’re not always doing the same thing. But the focus is primarily building strength. And spoiler, there’s always plenty of squats and lunges.

We focus on strength because it’s really important – as we age we start to lose muscle mass. And muscle is key to enabling us to live full and active lives. Both now and in 20, 30 or 50 years!

We keep our classes small so that we can adapt the training to suit all levels of fitness. You will never be left behind or asked to perform dozens of burpees!

And there are 10+ sessions per week to choose from, perfect for busy women with changing schedules.

How does it work?

 Simple.

  • Choose from 10+ training sessions each week so you have flexibility over when to train. No pre-booking necessary!
  • We keep our classes small group sizes so that we can adapt to your needs and fitness levels.
  • You get to train with other women who are super supportive and on a similar journey.

How much does it cost?

Membership costs £59 per month for unlimited classes. Whilst we do ask our members to sign up to a direct debit, you are totally in control. There is no joining fee, no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

A once a week option is also available for £40/month. This includes up to 5 sessions per month and is ideal for anyone who is already doing some other form of exercise.

I'm worried I'm not fit enough...

It’s a common concern – you’re not alone! The thing with our group is that we keep our numbers low, especially so that our trainers can get to know you. That way we are able to adapt the session to your needs – whether it’s a dodgy knee, or a lack of exercise over the last few years. We’re there to help and guide you on your individual journey…

And also, I can’t stress this enough, the community is everything. Everyone is really positive and supportive and there’s a real sense of being all in it together. We remember what it’s like to be the newcomer. And we all appreciate that we’re on our own journey.

I'm ready! How do I get started?

What is Melita about?

We are a health and fitness company focused on inspiring women to feel and healthy.

We know that for many women, the first step is the hardest. You might be worried that you are not fit enough, or you might know where to start, or you might worry about being judged.

We’re really proud of the community we’ve built. The Melita group is made up of women with something in common: we’re all taking the time to be the best version of ourselves but we find it easier to do that whilst having fun.

Yes, there’s a bit of running involved sometimes but we choose strong over endless cardio. You will be using kettlebells and strengthening your muscles with all the related benefits that extra strength brings.

It is possible to train hard and have fun.

Our Melita community keeps everyone coming back. It provides accountability and is a wonderful reminder that you’re not the only one juggling family, work, life, relationships and self care too.

Many wonderful friendships are formed and last beyond the training sessions. We train hard but also have fun: nights out, retreats and more.

Melita Fitness is brilliant and Chris really knows her stuff. It’s a motivational group setting but a small class so everyone still gets the one one one attention that they need. The group is super welcoming, friendly and supportive too.
